UNAIR NEWS – Graduation is an event of Universitas Airlangga ( UNAIR ) to release its best graduates to serve the country. At Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) UNAIR MERR (C) Campus, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih SE MT Ak awarded degrees and certificates to 1,320 graduates on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
In his remarks, Prof. Nasih expressed his gratitude for the graduation ceremony this period. He was also proud because he could award degrees to Universitas Airlangga’s best graduates, ready to serve the nation and state.
Dualism of feelings
Inaugurating the graduates, Prof. Nasih said that at this graduation, he was not only proud but also concerned at the same time. On the one hand, releasing UNAIR’s best graduates is a great gift. “We maintain the best possible quality, and of course, graduating all of you is an extraordinary gift,” he said.
On the other hand, Prof. Nasih admitted that he was concerned they graduated in unstable world economic conditions. However, he said, all graduates must continue to be optimistic that the Indonesian economy will recover soon to provide opportunities for them to innovate and implement their knowledge in the professional world.

“In East Java, our economy goes beyond the national economy. The investment potential is also great. It means job opportunities will be created with existing investments. Thus, you can implement the knowledge you have gained in college through the offered opportunities,” he said.
Must become pioneers
Furthermore, Prof. Nasih reminded the graduates to come prepared to face all uncertainties in the future. He hopes that the graduates will not only become followers but also be pioneers. It means that graduates must be able to create and determine their future.
“Our future is full of uncertainties. To ensure what our future will be like, we must be able to create our own future and not just depend on other people,” he said.
He added that graduates must always use their knowledge to create the future. According to him, implementing knowledge and making the best use of it is the key to success in the future.
In the end, he also suggested that graduates must keep learning, anywhere and anytime, even if they are no longer part of UNAIR students. He emphasized that the graduates will achieve the key to success.
“By mastering science and the process of learning, learning, and learning, I’m sure you will become successful people,” he concluded.
