Creating for the Community

Prof Nasih believed that an academician must have a broader perspective, not only for their interests but also for the greater benefit of society. Scholars must be able to directly contribute to the well-being of society, addressing both small and complex issues for the greater good.

“Every issue has its opposite dimension. There are always solutions for every arising problem. Universitas Airlangga is very pleased that many solutions are brought forth by the new professors,” said the Faculty of Economics and Business professor.

Dual parts of human

The rector stated that a human consists of the mind and body. Therefore, mental issues should not be neglected; they need to be prioritized. Two new professors in the field of health, especially dental health, are expected to integrate both important aspects in every output. He also added that numerous issues arise due to dental problems.

“Spiritual and psychological aspects should be included in every issue and problem-solving process,” he said.

Humans and all living beings should maintain the balance between body and mind, including animals and fish. Apart from focusing on the quantity and quality of fish yield, keeping them in good condition and stress-free also affects the quantity of the yield.
