UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held another professors’ inauguration on Thursday, September 7, 2023. The inauguration of the four professors took place in the Garuda Mukti Hall, Management Office, MERR-C Campus, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR).
UNAIR Rector, Prof Dr Mohammad Nasih SE MT Ak, presided the inauguration of Prof Ririn Tri Ratnasari SE MSi; Prof Dr Dra Thinni Nurul Rochmah MKes; Prof Dr Suparto Wijoyo SH MHum; and Prof Dr Dra apt Wiwied Ekasari MSi.
Energy boost
Prof. Nasih, in his speech, said that the inauguration is a means of gaining knowledge from each other. Furthermore, this inauguration is also a moment to measure and show the greatness and capacity of UNAIR professors.
“This inauguration is a means to share knowledge, showing transparency and publication. Of course, this inauguration is also a momentum to show and measure the greatness and ability of our professors,” he explained.
Then, Prof. Nasih said that the addition of professors is another source of energy for UNAIR. This energy will encourage UNAIR to develop science and innovation in the future.
“Congratulations to the four new professors inaugurated today. The inauguration of these four professors gives new energy for UNAIR to contribute to developing science in the future,” said Prof Nasih.
Understanding the existence of professors
Furthermore, Prof. Nasih said that the inauguration of professors is the first step for UNAIR to contribute to the nation and state. For this reason, he encouraged professors to continue their research and contributions. The reason is that a professor’s existence will be recognized if he can make a real contribution to the field of science and social welfare.
“The title of professor is the first step for us to make another big contribution. The existence of these professors is recognized through their real contributions to science. Moreover, they also contribute to improving people’s quality of life,” said the Professor of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR.
In the end, Prof Nasih expressed his pride in four new UNAIR professors. He believed that the professors had given a great meaning by presenting their research results for UNAIR and society in general.
“Hearing the orations of the professors is very pleasing and makes me proud because their research presents something meaningful for society. Once again, we would like to say that one of the duties of intellectuals is to see and read the expanse of the universe to produce something extraordinary for society,” he concluded.
