UNAIR NEWS – The ceremonial event of the third Independent Student Exchange (PMM) program Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) wrapped the one-semester study of the participants. Various events have been conducted since August 2023. The event was held at the Garuda Mukti Hall, Campus C, MERR on Saturday, Jan 6, 2024.
The inbound PMM students received equal rights as regular students during lectures. Dr Bambang Sektiari Lukiswanto DEA DVM, as UNAIR Vice Rector for Academic, Student, and Alumni Affairs, also welcomed the inbound PMM students as part of UNAIR big family. He expected the inbound students to implement the character and knowledge of ‘excellence with morality’ in the future at their home universities.
“The opportunity to be a part of Ksatria Airlangga has opened the gate to strengthening ties with Universitas Airlangga as the second home in your academic journey,” he explained.
Commitment to providing best experience
UNAIR crafted the program carefully and carried it out in full preparation. Prof Dr Sukardiman MS Apt, as UNAIR PMM 3 Program Coordinator and UNAIR Director of Academic Affairs said that UNAIR accepted 391 PMM students with 498 courses taken. They were distributed to 13 faculties and 48 total study programs, both S1, D3 and D4.
“We have completed 128 comprehensive kebhinekaan (diversity) activities with the help of lecturers and liaison officers’ modules who accompany students throughout the process,” he explained.
The Modul Nusantara activities were not only held on campus. The activities invited students to explore neighboring areas of Surabaya, such as Gresik, Tuban, Lamongan, Malang, and etc according to each group’s plan.
Students’ impression
The program, which was launched by Kampus Merdeka, provides impressive experiences for students to learn in a new place.
