UNAIR NEWS – Tazkia Ibnatiar Rahma, a Management student from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga, was selected as a Talent Development Intern at Blibli through the Kemdikbudristek’s MSIB program.

Several other partner companies turned her down before being approved by Blibli. However, her perseverance and optimism helped her to secure a position at one of Indonesia’s leading e-commerce platforms. Therefore, she is grateful to have gained such a valuable opportunity.

“The recruitment team from Blibli reached out to me for a user interview during the last minutes of the MSIB closing. Alhamdulillah, I got the offer at the Talent Development of BlibliCare,” she said.

Interns can work in the office or remotely, depending on agreements with their mentors. She is also involved in several projects, including the development of the BlibliCare module, talent mapping, and development need analysis.

“The mentors are kind and supportive. They give us chances to collaborate on the projects. If I made a mistake, the trainer from Talent Development gives me feedback. It improves my skills,” said the Surabaya-origin student.

Tazkia has a lot of wonderful experiences in Talent Development. She learned to be more socially aware and responsive when facing challenges.

She also learned how the training team provided training to agents, from self-development and enhancing service system standards to fostering customer loyalty.

“I think my leadership skills have improved a lot. I encourage my team to make innovations. Surprisingly, there is no seniority culture here; people are just addressed by their first names. Everyone is welcome to contribute, no discrimination,” she said.

In the end, the FEB’s Most Outstanding student spilled some tips and tricks for the MSIB selection. Students should use every opportunity. Tazkia even recommends using probability theory, where 11 of the 22 positions are likely to go to the next round. Make sure that the position you applied for is clearly stated in your resume to make it easily identifiable by the ATS (Applicant Tracking System).

“Besides, prepare yourself for the upcoming tests, such as Psychometric evaluation, English proficiency assessments, and interviews. We must comprehend the position we’re looking for as well as the company’s profile. Demonstrate the innovations you can bring to the company and highlight your relevant experiences to help it grow,” she said.
