UNAIR NEWS – UNAIR Nursing student, Dea Yuana Aprilia, has been appointed as the Health Ambassador of East Java 2024, hosted by Yayasan Pemuda Berprestasi Indonesia at the Grand City.
“I applied to become a health ambassador because it aligns with my educational background in healthcare,” Dea told UNAIR NEWS on Monday, March 3, 2024.
As a prospective nurse who will be serving the community, she feels a significant responsibility. It drives her to keep growing and nurturing many hopes. She initiates this journey through the Health Ambassador competition.
“I aspire that this opportunity will serve as a conduit for me to extend the benefits of the knowledge I have acquired to many individuals,” Dea added.
Health Ambassador of East Java
Thanks to her perseverance and hard work, she gained the opportunity and was entrusted with the title of the 1st Champion of the Health Ambassador of East Java 2024. She prepared herself through various selection stages with utmost dedication, particularly during the quarantine stage.
“We conducted visits to several hospitals in Surabaya to assess the healthcare conditions and requirements in East Java,” she elaborated.
In the selection, she introduced the “Dea’s Message” program that aims to broaden health coverage by integrating the fields of healthcare and education.
“I adhere to a total dedication. As long as we are willing to exert our utmost efforts towards a goal, I firmly believe that no effort will go to waste,” she said.
