UNAIR NEWS – Karya Salemba Empat Foundation (KSE) together with the association of KSE scholarship recipients from Universitas Airlangga held a national seminar entitled Inspiration for the Nation. The national seminar also inaugurated the activities of Technology for Indonesia (TFI) and KSE Entrepreneur Academy (EA).

As the host, KSE Association Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) collaborated with the KSE Association from Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) invited more than one hundred KSE scholarship recipients from all across Indonesia to UNAIR. The seminar took place at the Candradimuka Auditorium, Nano Building, Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline (FTMM), MERR-C Campus, UNAIR, on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Attending the event were the Rector of Universitas Airlangga, and Ahmad Solihin as the vice-chair of the KSE Foundation board who delivered speeches. Rector of UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Moh Nasih SE MT Ak, expressed his gratitude to the KSE Foundation and the attending students for their trust in UNAIR to host this national seminar. “The large number of students from various universities across Indonesia is very encouraging. The presence of KSE is meaningful and inspires all of us. The existence of KSE is very useful with various programs that require students to be active and able to become activists, so don’t be a ‘butterfly student’ (student who attend lectures and go home afterwards),” said Prof. Nasih.

Prof. Nasih also explained his plan to create a scholarship program for students all across Indonesia. UNAIR is planning to establish a foundation similar to KSE, named Airlangga Sekawan.

“In the future, we will collect funding and create a series of development programs. The program is not only for UNAIR students but for all students in Indonesia. KSE here is the inspiration for this program. So, we are not competing, but Fastabiqul Khairat, competing in goodness. Perhaps the gentlemen in front of me would also like to be donors,” said the Rector of UNAIR to the students and KSE Foundation officials.
