UNAIR receives IKU 2 PTN-BH League Award

UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has made another outstanding achievement by earning the 2023 Key Performance Indicators (IKU) 2 Public University with Legal Entities (PTN-BH) League Award. This accolade was announced by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology on Monday, July 1, 2024, in Jakarta.

This recognition highlights the significant accomplishments and contributions of UNAIR’s students, faculty, and alumni across various fields. UNAIR Rector, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, expressed his gratitude for this honor and commended the hard work of the university’s academic community, which made this success possible.

“This is certainly very gratifying. We deeply appreciate the dedication and efforts of all members of Universitas Airlangga’s academic community. Without their hard work, this achievement would not have been possible,” he said.

The Professor of Economics and Business elaborated that UNAIR continues to improve its quality to achieve even greater success in the future. “We hope that these improvements will lead us to an even better position than we achieved in 2023, which was announced in 2024,” stated the Rector of UNAIR.

Prof. Nasih explained that the IKU 2 PTN-BH League award was attained thanks to the SMART University program developed by UNAIR. This program focuses on Sustainable education for all, Meaningful research and community services, Advancing innovation, entrepreneurship, industry linkages, Responsive and lean management, and Topping up the utilization of both tangible and intangible resources.

“Our initial focus was on relevance and employability, which we have incorporated into the SMART University program. This program and its activities aim to enhance our performance in the KPI metrics,” he explained.

Prof. Nasih emphasized that UNAIR will continue to prioritize the swift employment of its graduates and maintain strong connections with alumni. Furthermore, UNAIR has implemented programs to increase student interest in the Freedom of Learning – Emancipated Campus (MBKM) initiative by improving the conversion system.

“International accreditation, collaboration, and other initiatives will continue to position UNAIR as a pioneer in various areas, including research output,” he added.

Furthermore, Prof. Nasih revealed that UNAIR will remain focused on relevance, employability, and quality to achieve KPI targets in the future. He believes that UNAIR’s ranking can improve further through collaborative efforts within the university.

“I am confident that we can achieve even better KPI results in the future. Regardless of the program, our quality must continuously improve, as higher quality will enable us to achieve better outcomes together,” he concluded.
