UNAIR NEWS – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) convened an adjourned meeting with representatives from Universiti Teknologi Mara Kelantan, Malaysia, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. The meeting was organized to discuss and promote cooperation between the two institutions.
The meeting aimed to explore and expand academic and research collaboration, focusing on initiatives that could offer substantial benefits to both universities.
Cooperative programs
The proposed cooperative programs include a six-week internship involving 30 percent of the students from UNAIR. Additionally, the universities considered the potential for a summer camp program, anticipated to run for two months.
In addition to future collaborations, representatives from both universities also reviewed the guest lecture and seminar delivered by Universiti Teknologi Mara Kelantan’s representative, Dr. Nor Erlissa Abd Aziz, at FISIP UNAIR. The guest lecture took place on Wednesday, August 28, and Friday, August 30, 2024, while the seminar was held on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
Both universities expressed hope that this partnership would extend beyond academic collaboration to other areas, such as innovation and community development. This adjourned meeting represents the initial step in building a long-term, sustainable partnership.
Through this collaboration, UNAIR and Universiti Teknologi Mara Kelantan are committed to fostering innovation, adapting to global changes, and making meaningful contributions to both national and international development.
