UNAIR NEWS– Dr. Arif Nur Muhammad Ansori, a researcher from Postgraduate School Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), has been named among the World’s Top 2% Scientists of 2024 by Stanford University and Elsevier. His recognition comes from his significant contributions through publications in high-impact international journals.

Dr. Ansori expressed immense pride in being named among the world’s top scientists, calling it a personal milestone. He views this recognition as an incentive to continue expanding his research efforts. “This accomplishment serves as a major driving force for me to continue advancing my research and contribute even more to my field of expertise,” he stated.

He credited his success to the support and collaboration of his colleagues, who have consistently aided his work. “I truly appreciate the encouragement from my colleagues, mentors, and family, who have always driven me to advance. Without their support, this accomplishment would not have been possible,” he explained.

Dr. Ansori highlighted three key indicators that contributed to his success. The first is his scientific contributions through publications in reputable international journals. “I have contributed to more than 190 scientific articles indexed by Scopus, focusing on virology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics,” he said.

The second factor is his H-index, which measures how often his work is cited by other researchers. “With an H-index of 30, the quality and impact of my research have been significant. It shows that my work is frequently used as reference by other scholars,” he noted.

Dr. Ansori also emphasized that a high H-index indicates that his research is relevant to the evolving needs of the scientific community. The final factor he mentioned was the importance of active participation in various international scientific organizations.

Dr. Ansori emphasized that his recognition is proof that hard work, dedication, and perseverance in research can produce substantial results. “I want to encourage my fellow scientists, especially young researchers, to never give up, even when the challenges in research feel overwhelming,” he advised.

He also underscored the importance of collaboration and upholding integrity and ethics in research to advance scientific knowledge. “This recognition is not just about how many publications or citations we have, but about the positive impact we can make on society,” he concluded.
