UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) welcomed a public information transparency visit from Indonesia’s Central Information Commission (KIP) on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the UNAIR Management Office, MERR-C Campus. It is as part of a monitoring and evaluation effort aimed at assessing the accessibility and progress of information transparency within the institution.
The event was attended by UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih SE MT Ak; Chair of UNAIR’s Public Information and Documentation Management (PPID), Dr. Koko Srimulyo Drs MSi; alongside university leaders and faculty representatives. Representing the Central Information Commission (KIP) were Deputy Chair Dr. H. Arya Sandhiyudha SSos MSc and his team.
UNAIR’s commitment to transparency
In his address, Prof. Nasih underscored UNAIR’s dedication to improving public information services, with a strong focus on inclusivity. He highlighted the university’s goal of becoming a disability-friendly campus as a key priority.
“Last year’s evaluation revealed a need to enhance accessibility for individuals with disabilities. This year, we have made it a priority and are taking meaningful steps to improve all relevant aspects,” Prof. Nasih stated.

Inclusive information transparency
Dr. Srimulyo, Secretary of Universitas Airlangga, emphasized that UNAIR’s public information system has now become inclusive, ensuring accessibility for everyone, including individuals with disabilities. “We guarantee that UNAIR’s public information services are open to all. Various innovations have been implemented to address the challenges highlighted in previous evaluations,” he explained.
Dr. Srimulyo, who also serves as a lecturer in Information and Library Science at UNAIR, emphasized the importance of feedback from KIP in guiding the university’s continuous improvements.
“Thanks to the insights provided by KIP, we have made significant progress compared to last year,” he said.
