UNAIR NEWS – As part of the mandate outlined in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology’s directive Number 1111/B/DT.03.07/2025 on establishing Medical Specialist and Subspecialist Programs, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) and its partner universities convened to sign an integrity pact and cooperation agreement (PKS). The event, held on Tuesday (Nov 4, 2025) in the Amerta Room on the 4th Floor of the MERR-C Campus, affirmed UNAIR’s appointment as the supervising institution.

Representatives from 19 medical specialist and subspecialist programs across 12 universities nationwide attended the event. UNAIR Rector Prof Dr Muhammad Madyan SE MSi MFin noted that being entrusted with guiding partner institutions is an honor.

“For Universitas Airlangga as the lead supervisor, this meaningful initiative is a privilege. It also reflects our shared commitment to addressing the shortage of specialist and subspecialist physicians, while expanding equitable access to high-quality medical education,” he said.

Prof Madyan emphasized that the cooperation agreement is aimed at strengthening the overall quality and capacity of national healthcare. He added that UNAIR is prepared to share its experience, curriculum resources, and established systems that have been developed and refined over the years.

It should reflect our collective commitment to advancing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education,” she said.
