UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga proudly congratulates Prof. Dr. Fatmawati, M.Si., professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology, for being awarded a prestigious Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) grant through her involvement in the Green Education Partnerships between Europe and Southeast Asia (GREENSEA) project. Prof. Fatmawati’s participation in this esteemed international consortium reflects Universitas Airlangga’s growing leadership in advancing sustainability-focused education and strengthening global collaborations in higher education.
The GREENSEA project is coordinated by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and engages ten leading universities across Europe and Southeast Asia, including: Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica (Poland), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Vietnam)
Van Lang University (Vietnam), Dong Nai Technology University (Vietnam), Duy Tan University (Vietnam)
Institut Teknologi Bandung (Indonesia), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (Indonesia), Universitas Airlangga (Indonesia), Chiang Mai University (Thailand).
GREENSEA focuses on modernizing curricula and building institutional capacity in areas related to green technologies, renewable energy, and sustainability, aligning closely with the principles of the European Green Deal and regional development goals. Through her role in the consortium, Prof. Fatmawati contributes to designing innovative curricula and modules for master’s programs, equipping students with essential competencies in sustainability, environmental science, and green innovation. She is also actively engaged in capacity-building activities, such as staff development programs, academic exchanges, and international research collaborations.
Beyond curriculum enhancement, the GREENSEA initiative aims to produce long-term impact by establishing an alumni network, strengthening digital learning resources, and promoting enduring collaboration among partner universities. Prof. Fatmawati’s involvement ensures that GREENSEA’s outcomes will support sustainable academic development in Indonesia and contribute to regional advancement. Universitas Airlangga extends its warmest congratulations to Prof. Dr. Fatmawati, M.Si. for her outstanding achievement in securing this prestigious Erasmus+ grant.
