Universitas Airlangga proudly congratulates Indria Wahyuni, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., lecturer at the Faculty of Law, for successfully securing the prestigious Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Modules Grant for 2025–2028. Dr. Indria has been awarded funding for her project “EU Climate Policy and Sustainable Development (EU-CPSD)”, building on her ongoing academic initiatives in European Union studies.
The awarded program consists of two interconnected modules, EU Climate Policy and Sustainable Development, includes foundational EU climate policy, climate mitigation strategies, climate adaptation and resilience policies, green and transitional energy, and integrates SDGs into EU policy. The second module focuses on the critical intersection between EU trade policy and EU climate policy.
According to Dr. Indria’s proposal, integrating sustainability considerations into climate policies not only reinforces the EU’s global leadership but also encourages other countries to adopt higher environmental and social standards. The modules also support broader efforts toward achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 13: Climate Action.
The project’s overarching objective is to deliver comprehensive academic activities focused on EU Climate Policy and Sustainable Development. In line with this, the Faculty of Law will develop new learning opportunities, ranging from hybrid courses, interdisciplinary research, public symposia, to community-engagement initiatives, that explore the intersection of EU legal frameworks and global sustainability issues. These activities are expected to strengthen students’ analytical skills and deepen their understanding of current international policy developments.
To broaden access and foster inclusivity, the program will adopt a blended learning model, combining in-person instruction with online delivery through UNAIR’s Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform. This approach ensures that the modules are accessible to diverse learners regardless of gender, nationality, or country of origin.
Universitas Airlangga extends its warmest congratulations to Dr. Indria Wahyuni for this remarkable achievement. Her success not only reflects academic excellence but also contributes significantly to advancing global conversations on sustainable development and climate action. We hope her accomplishment will inspire more scholars to pursue impactful, internationally oriented research and educational initiatives.
