UNAIR NEWSUniversitas Airlangga has a strong commitment in encouraging alumni  and students careers. Through the Directorate of Career Development, Entrepreneurship Incubation and Alumni (DPKKA), UNAIR consistently offers training and career development opportunities. UNAIR’s collaboration with Bank Indonesia (BI) is one of DPKKA’s steps in increasing career opportunities for students and alumni.

Recently, BI gave a special award to UNAIR for its commitment in the selection of Assistant Manager Candidate Education (PCPM) on Thursday, June 06, 2024. “So we are perceived as a committed university in this program. We actively participate in every phase, provide input, and prepare our candidates thoroughly,” said Prof. Dr. Elly Munadziroh drg MS as Director of DPKKA.

For the past four years, UNAIR has been collaborating with BI on the PCPM. UNAIR offers specialized preparation for students interested in this program.

“We work with Airlangga Assessment Center (AAC) to provide trainings for students,” explained Elly. These trainings primarily focus on soft skill development.

Moreover, DPKKA is actively inviting alumni who are working at BI to share their experience and knowledge. “In fact, starting this year, we opened training and debriefing 2 months before BI opened PCPM,” she said. She took this step to maximize the chances of candidates passing the PCPM.

Elly highlighted that BI is a bona fide company. Therefore, the recruitment process is strict and objective. “The prediction, students who pass this PCPM will have the opportunity to be BI leaders and negotiate financial issues both nationally and internationally,” she added.

UNAIR always supports the career preparation of students and alumni. In this case, however, individual awareness of career opportunities must also be open. “Students need to prepare early if they want to have a career in BI,” she said. Elly expressed her hope that more UNAIR students will pursue careers at BI.
