UNAIR NEWS – PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Persero Tbk collaborated with Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) to distribute 1000 food packages in the second week of Ramadan. The event, which is an annual agenda, took place at the Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) on Thursday, April 14, 2022.

Head of DWP UNAIR Triyani Nasih said that 1000 food packages were distributed to those in need, such as cleaning service staff, street vendors, and orphanages around UNAIR campus.

“We will do the distribution immediately after the ceremony is over. Hopefully this package will be useful for those in need, especially around campus,” said Triyani.

Roy Wahyu Maulana as the Head of BNI Regional Office 06 Surabaya expressed his pride in being able to share in the month of Ramadan with UNAIR. Moreover, he added, many of the leaders and directors of BNI are UNAIR alumni.

“We are proud to be able to join UNAIR in sharing with others in the month of Ramadan, a month full of blessings. Hopefully our efforts today will get a reward full of blessings from Allah SWT, “he said. “Hopefully this cooperation can continue in the future,” he added.

Meanwhile, Utomo, one of the recipients of the basic food packages, thanked BNI and UNAIR Rector. She admitted that the food packages is useful for their lives, considering the difficult economy amid pandemic.

“This pandemic is difficult, because my husband doesn’t work. Hopefully this assistance will be useful,” said Utomo who lives in RT 02 RW 01 Mulyorejo, Surabaya. (*)
