Savira started the discussion on the achievements of UNAIR’s SDGs Center over the past year and the good practices that UNAIR academics have carried out.
“We (SDGs) have participated in the Climate Change Conference held by the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia in Jakarta, then held a Training of Trainer for Widya Iswara BPSDM East Java, which has now been able to produce Corporate University SDGs. Then we (UNAIR) have the Ksatria Airlangga Floating Hospital (RSTKA), which provides health services on Indonesia’s 3T (the outermost, frontline and disadvantage) islands and collaborates with faculties at UNAIR to hold the SDGs Summer Course,” said Savira.
Programs that have been implemented within UNAIR are always mapped based on relevant SDGs. Savira said that this led UNAIR to be ranked 300th in THE Impact Ranking.
Meanwhile, CIMSA’s Supervising Tutor, Faisal Yusuf Ashari dr MSc conveyed the purpose of his visit to study one of the programs, SDGs Airlangga Interdisciplinary Learning (SAIL) Program and to open a collaboration opportunity with SDGs Center.
“We want to know the technicality of registration and implementation of SAIL Program,” explained Yusuf.
The man, who also works as a medical doctor, explained that their department at medical school was interested in the SAIL program. Yusuf also provided suggestions for the SAIL Program to expand its reach.
“I think the SAIL program is very interesting. I hope this program can use a collaboration scheme so that the scope of cooperation is wider and more diverse. Then use a proportional funding distribution with international partner universities to strengthen commitment, “said Yusuf.
Furthermore, the PIC of SAIL Program, Moh. Agung Santoso SHum MM revealed that the 2023 SAIL Program will be held in the middle of the year. The implementation scheme is still being drafted to produce an impactful SAIL Program.
