UNAIR NEWS – The Airlangga Education Expo (AEE) 2024, Universitas Airlangga’s (UNAIR) biggest annual educational exhibition, is set to take place from February 1-3, 2024, at the Airlangga Convention Center, MERR-C Campus. This grand expo opens its doors for registration, inviting prospective students and educational enthusiasts to explore a myriad of opportunities.
Dr. Achmad Solihin SE MSi, Head of the Student Admission Center (PPMB) UNAIR, announced the event’s details on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. The AEE 2024 is packed with various interactive activities designed to engage and inform visitors. The exhibition will feature talk shows, information booths, and info sessions, alongside captivating performances. A highlight of the event is the much-anticipated golden ticket initiative, offering participants a unique chance for streamlined admission to UNAIR.
“Each faculty within UNAIR will host its booth, offering attendees an opportunity to directly inquire about their respective study programs,” Dr. Solihin elaborated. “The expo will also provide valuable insights into the learning process at UNAIR, including tips for successful admission and much more,” he explained.
AEE Registration
Students can register using two methods: individually or collectively through their schools. Both can be done through the official AEE 2024 website or by going straight to the venue.
“Schools often organize group visits to the expo. In these cases, the school manages the coordination and registration process for its students,” explained Dr. Solihin.
“Therefore, participants can register and create accounts collectively through schools or individually,” Solihin added.
Students should not miss out on this opportunity. AEE not only comes at no cost but is also a prerequisite for eligibility to receive a golden ticket from UNAIR.
Golden Ticket
Regarding the golden ticket, Solihin explained that there are three categories of achievements that make students eligible to receive one. These include academic achievements, organizational achievements, and those who have memorized holy scriptures.
“Students with outstanding academic achievements, like being champions in national or international Olympiads. Also, those who have demonstrated leadership in organizations, such as student council presidents, are eligible for golden tickets. Additionally, students with non-academic achievements, like memorizing holy scriptures such as the Quran or the Bible, are also considered,” he explained.
Subsequently, the committee will assess the golden ticket applications and determine eligibility. Not all students can apply for a golden ticket; there are specific criteria that applicants must fulfil.
“Firstly, the individual must be eligible for SNBP. Secondly, their preferred study program in SNBP should be a program at UNAIR. Thirdly, the requirement is that they actively engage in the series of activities at AEE or have an account in AEE,” he explained.
In addition to these exciting opportunities, UNAIR is also organizing a fun competition. Participants are invited to join the Reels and TikTok Challenge with the theme “My Journey to UNAIR”.
