UNAIR NEWS – The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga recently hosted the 2024 Actiontalks seminar at Galaxy Mall Exhibition, Surabaya, on Saturday, September 14, 2024. This event was the final event of BEM FEB’s flagship program, the Airlangga Creativepreneur Competition.
The Actiontalks seminar, themed “Innovate and Impact: Conversations on Business for Social Good,” featured four distinguished speakers from the business world: Deryansha, host of the Kasisolusi podcast; Jehian Sijabat, CEO of Mantappu Corp; Jeffrey Jouw, founder of USS Networks; and Vina Muliana, HR professional and Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree.
Muhammad Ghufron Ariawan, President of BEM FEB, opened the event with a speech. “This event facilitates insightful and inspiring discussions about the business world. We hope that through Actiontalks, students will discover fresh and innovative business ideas,” said Ariawan.
Secrets of branding and business
During his session, Deryansha stressed that branding is more than just price or product—it’s about shaping consumer perception. He noted that effective branding must come from an objective understanding of the consumer’s perspective, rather than the subjective views of business managers. This approach ensures consumers can fully appreciate the value being offered.
In the following talk show, titled “How Being a Content Creator Can Impact Your Business,” it was highlighted that gaining consumer trust is often the most challenging aspect of business, and it’s essential to build that trust before encouraging customers to make a purchase.

Economic potential of content creators
Deryansha also shared insights from his experience creating the Kasisolusi podcast, which both educates listeners on business and provides a learning platform for future ventures. He emphasized that business success is not just about having a good product, but also about earning consumer trust in the people behind the brand.
Jehian Sijabat, another speaker, discussed the crucial role of content creators in the business landscape. Drawing from his experience managing talent like Jerome Polin, Jehian highlighted the significant economic opportunities available to content creators and stressed the importance of a solid support team working behind the scenes.
