UNAIR NEWS – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) marked its 64th anniversary with a ceremony on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the FEB Building on the Dharmawangsa-B Campus. The event was attended by UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Muhammad Madyan, S.E., M.Si., M.Fin., FEB leadership, students, and alumni.

Prof. Madyan noted that the anniversary was more than a celebration of longevity—it was an opportunity to reflect on the faculty’s long-standing dedication and contributions to the nation. Since its inception, he said, FEB UNAIR has produced thousands of graduates who have gone on to serve in key sectors as leaders, innovators, and agents of progress.

“Today, we are here not only to express gratitude but also to strengthen our bonds. This gathering is a bridge connecting the university, alumni, and stakeholders. Through meetings like this, we can exchange ideas, align our goals, and reinforce collaboration for a brighter future,” he said.

Prof. Madyan emphasized that the spirit of FEB’s 64th anniversary is in line with UNAIR’s vision of becoming a world-class university that embodies excellence with morality. This means producing not only academically accomplished economists and business leaders, but also individuals with integrity, ethics, a spirit of service, and societal impact.

“I encourage the entire FEB UNAIR academic community to keep innovating, strengthen research, expand global networks, and respond to the challenges of our era with relevant and sustainable solutions,” he added.

He also highlighted the importance of creating wider avenues for collaboration with alumni and other stakeholders. “We must open more doors for partnership so that FEB UNAIR’s contributions are felt more strongly, whether locally, nationally, or internationally,” he said.

Prof. Madyan closed his remarks by expressing appreciation to everyone who has supported the faculty’s progress. “May FEB UNAIR, at 64, continue to excel, serve as a source of inspiration, and deliver the greatest possible benefits to society, the nation, and the world,” he concluded.
