Anthrax is a disease caused by Bacillus anthracis. In Indonesia, its emergence was the result of the deliberate actions of residents in digging up and consuming dead cows. The cases happen in the Gunungkidul area.

Transmission mechanism This disease is zoonotic. It can be transmitted from animals to humans, through the respiratory tract, food and drink, open wounds on the skin.
