UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) once again partnered with the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) to hold a public lecture titled Opportunities and Challenges of Employment in the Society 5.0 Era. The event was held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Ternate Hall Auditorium in ASEEC Tower, UNAIR’s Dharmawangsa-B Campus.
The lecture aimed to equip human resources with the skills needed to thrive in the digital age. The event featured the Director of the Manpower Polytechnic, on behalf of the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Manpower, Prof. Dr. Yoki Yulizar, M.Sc., along with the Director of Career Development, Incubation Entrepreneurship and Alumni Affairs at UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Elly Munadziroh, drg., M.S.
The event attracted thousands of enthusiastic students who were eager to learn about the job market and explore employment opportunities in the Society 5.0 era. The Director of UNAIR’s Director of Career Development, Incubation Entrepreneurship and Alumni Affairs explained that UNAIR graduates are provided with a strong foundation of hard and soft skills before entering the workforce.
“This collaboration with Kemnaker is crucial in helping our graduates increase their employability and succeed as job candidates in the Society 5.0 era. We are deeply grateful for Kemnaker’s involvement, as it provides clear insight into the challenges our graduates will face,” she stated.

Prof. Munadziroh stressed that students must be well-prepared to compete in today’s rapidly evolving job market. Proper preparation would allow students to secure employment soon after graduation.
