UNAIR NEWS – Nursi Ayu Dwi Ullitasari proved that age is not a barrier to pursuing higher education. A student of MAS Unggulan Amanatul Ummah Surabaya, she became one of the youngest candidates admitted through National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) at Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) in 2026. At just under 16 years old, she earned a place in the D3 Taxation program at Faculty of Vocational Studies through dedication and strong academic performance.
Pursuing her dream university
Ullitasari expressed her gratitude for the achievement. “I am very happy to be accepted at the university I have long dreamed of, especially at a relatively young age. I chose this major because it matches my potential,” she said.
Her success was shaped not only by her own efforts but also by consistent support and prayers from her family. Her school also played a key role by providing direction, mentoring, and structured academic programs that supported her academic preparation.
“I would like to thank my family for their support and prayers that helped me get into Universitas Airlangga. Since the 10th grade, my school has guided me to pursue achievements in economics. The school also provides an intensive study program called daurah, held from 8 to 10 p.m., focusing on materials and practice questions for UTBK or TKA preparation,” she said.

Striving for achievement
As one of the youngest admitted students, Nursi said she began elementary school before turning six and later completed acceleration programs at both junior and senior high school levels. She also achieved several accomplishments, including second place in a National Accounting Olympiad and third place in a National Economics Olympiad.
“In achieving those results, I used my own study strategy by summarizing key materials. I consistently study every night before sleeping and before dawn. I also regularly join daurah sessions at the boarding school to strengthen my understanding and retention,” she said.
Her journey was not without obstacles. She faced academic pressure and challenges in managing her time. However, she said those struggles were worthwhile when her efforts produced results.
“For friends who are currently preparing for SNBT, stay motivated and never give up trying. We are all moving through different paths toward the same goal,” she said.
