UNAIR NEWS – To optimize work performance in 2023, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held an Administrators and Supervisors Work Meeting on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Alila Hotel, Solo. All heads of administrative sections and subsections in the faculty and the management office attended the work meeting.

UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih SE MT Ak said the importance of formulating new strategies in supporting UNAIR to achieve Top 100 world rankings. For this reason, he encouraged all participants to carry out transformations in higher education tridharma.

“We expect you to perform as supporting staff in implementing higher education tridharma. Also, we hope that the administrative staff can also support faculty ambassadors in each faculty,” he stated.

Engaged actively

In this year’s work meeting, the rector invited participants to reflect by making plans or innovation activities. After the work meeting, all participants are expected to implement innovations in their respective faculties, institutions, agencies, and directorates.

Prof. Nasih hoped that the involvement of administrators and supervisors in the tridharma implementation will reduce the burden on lecturers in various administrative work. Lecturers are expected to stay focused on education, community service and research.

“I am sure that with the young administrative staff, there will be a lot of enthusiasm and fresh ideas. It means these ideas will support UNAIR achieving the goals, “he said.

Performing administrative transformation

He encouraged all participants to carry out administrative and training transformations. With good faith in contributing, he continued, anything can be achieved. He hoped that one day UNAIR can become a pioneer of strong supporting staff and all administrative tasks can be done by administrative staff.

Meanwhile, Vice Rector for Resources Dr Muhammad Madyan SE MSi MFin said he was optimistic about UNAIR’s staff and resources. UNAIR has great young people and most of them are UNAIR alumni.

“I’m sure administrative officials have more enthusiasm. It is the enthusiasm to achieve a better position with a significant impact on UNAIR’s progress, “he said.

He hoped that in the future, all participants will focus on developing themselves by participating in certifications. In accordance with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology’s Key Performance Indicators (IKU) policy, administrative staff who will be educated and sent to school must have certifications. Those who are certified are expected to be experts in their respective fields.

“Keep the morale up to support UNAIR to be better in the future,” he said.

In the end, Prof. Madyan said that the alignment of work with competencies, expertise, and skills will support UNAIR to become one of the world’s top university. So all academicians need to adapt to various fields.
