The four professors are Prof Dr. Juni Ekowati Msi Apt from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof Dr. Rustinsyah Dra MSi from Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Prof Viskasari Pintoko Kalanjati dr MKes PhD and Prof Dr. Siprianus Ugroseno Yudho Bintoro dr SpPD-KHOM FINASIM from Faculty of Medicine.

Prof Nasih, in his speech, hoped that the presence of the four professors in the UNAIR environment would bring new energy and strength to UNAIR. Therefore, Prof Nasih conveyed hopes and an important message for the professors to maximize potential and responsibility.

“The number of Professors in Indonesia is very limited. Because the number is very small, this position is very exclusive and special,” he explained.

Prof Nasih mentioned that professors play a vital role in advancing the general welfare. In addition, professors are essentially seen as educators who encourage and develop science.

Through scientific oration from the four new professors, Prof Nasih saw how UNAIR’s professors continued to provide solutions to the nation’s issues through their respective skills and fields of knowledge.

Prof Juni Ekowati provided solutions regarding the sustainability aspects of disease treatment. Prof Rustinsyah, on the one hand, provided solutions for village development. At the same time, Prof Viskasari and Prof Ugroseno from the medical field offered solutions and alternatives for the medical world.

Through the professor’s various findings and innovations, Prof. Nasih hoped that there would be a continuation and efforts to realize them and make people benefit from them. Moreover, Prof. Nasih said on the shoulders of educators, the sustainability of civilization is also at stake.

“Various ideas have come up very well. And they will be even better if they are developed for the benefit of the community. This is the challenge that the professor must answer,” said Prof. Nasih. (*)
