UNAIR NEWS – The Faculty of Vocational Studies (FV) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has entered a strategic collaboration with the Fujifilm Asia-Pacific Healthcare Learning Academy (FAHLA). The partnership underscores a shared commitment to advancing vocational education, strengthening applied research, and developing the competencies of future healthcare professionals. It also marks a major step in integrating technology-driven learning with industry practices that align with the needs of today’s healthcare sector.
FAHLA, Fujifilm’s professional training institution dedicated to global knowledge transfer, technological development, and healthcare innovation, will support the faculty in enhancing curricula, providing instructor training, and elevating students’ learning experience. The collaboration is expected to bridge the long-standing gap between higher education and industry, particularly within medical technology, radiology, and digital health-related programs.
Collaborative initiatives
Under the agreement, UNAIR’s Faculty of Vocational Studies and FAHLA will launch several joint programs, including workshops on emerging health technologies, the development of instructional modules using Fujifilm’s equipment, and immersive learning opportunities aligned with global industry standards. These initiatives will give students hands-on exposure to advanced medical devices, imaging analysis techniques, and clinical service protocols implemented worldwide.

Dean of Vocational Studies, Prof. Dian Yulie Reindrawati, stated that the collaboration demonstrates the faculty’s ongoing commitment to delivering vocational education that is agile and relevant. “We want to ensure our students gain not only strong academic foundations but also the skills needed to compete in today’s healthcare industry. This partnership with FAHLA is an essential step toward achieving that,” she said.
FAHLA welcomed the partnership as an opportunity to support Indonesia’s healthcare workforce through the transfer of global expertise, advanced technologies, and international professional standards. The collaboration is also expected to expand Fujifilm’s impact within the healthcare ecosystem while contributing to higher-quality medical services nationwide.
Through this partnership, UNAIR aims to build a strong, innovative, and future-oriented environment for learning and applied research. This strategic initiative reinforces UNAIR’s effort to position itself as a university capable of producing highly skilled and globally competitive professionals.
