Overview of Contact TAIWAN

“It is an honor for me to be able to visit UNAIR. As the Director of the Economic Division based in Jakarta, I regularly visit several big cities in Indonesia. On this occasion, I am very open to opportunities for cooperation between Taiwan and UNAIR,” said Lu.

During his visit, Lu promoted an online platform called Contact TAIWAN. Contact TAIWAN is a media that provides and promotes job opportunities in Taiwanese companies to the international community. In fact, several Taiwanese companies also open opportunities to work in branch offices in Indonesia.

“As a country with rapid technological developments, we need young talents to work in Taiwanese companies. Contact TAIWAN can be an effective way to apply for jobs there,” Lu added.

Lu also stated that Taiwan is a friendly country to Muslims. In fact, the local government is emphasizing halal certification. According to Lu, the effort was made to comfort Muslim workers and students in Taiwan.

Opportunity for collaboration with UNAIR

As a higher education institution in Indonesia, UNAIR is open to collaboration with external parties, including with TETO. During the meeting, UNAIR representatives invited TETO to join a job fair in October. TETO can send representatives to promote Contact TAIWAN to UNAIR students and alumni.

“Besides going through the job fair, students can visit the TETO office in Surabaya, at Jalan Indragiri no 49. We know that Taiwan has a close partnership with UNAIR. Therefore, we are happy to provide information about job opportunities in Taiwan,” explained William Jiang.

“Apart from providing job opportunities, in the future, we plan to facilitate UNAIR students to study in Taiwan. We also plan to provide scholarships for them. Therefore, we welcome any opportunities for collaboration between TETO and UNAIR,” concluded Lu.
