UNAIR alumni in Jakarta held an alumni gathering in Sarinah, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday evening, July 20, 2022. Most of them are UNAIR alumni working in mass media institutions in Jakarta and public figures.
Apart from strengthening the solidity among alumni, several topics were also discussed at the gathering, including the latest development of UNAIR and synergizing program.
Head of UNAIR Directorate of Career Development, Incubation, Entrepreneurship, and Alumni Affairs (DPKKA), Dr Elly Munadziroh drg MS said that UNAIR achievements cannot be separated from alumni’s contributions. Therefore, she extended her gratitude for the alumni supports.
“One of our most notable achievements, UNAIR makes it to the Top 500 World University Ranking, surpassing the Kemendikbud Ristek (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology) target. UNAIR is ranked 369th in the QS World University Rankings,” Dr Elly said.
“UNAIR is listed in the big four universities in Indonesia,” she added.

The Faculty of Dental Medicine professor further added that despite the positive trend, UNAIR’s commitment to improve and develop will continue. Big challenges in the future are waiting to be solved together.
“We truly appreciate your presence in this UNAIR Gathering,” she said.
Prof Elly said that synergy with alumni, especially in Jakarta, is highly necessary and needs to be further strengthened to embrace UNAIR’s development in the future. Given the technology and social development of society, that is getting more complex. Synergy and adaptation are the keys. UNAIR facilitates the alumni’s feedback through DPKKA.
“The key to facing the future challenges is strengthening collaboration and synergy between UNAIR and alumni,” she stated.
Prof Elly hoped the alumni’s commitment and support will get stronger in the future. UNAIR is open to feedback and receives positive energies from alumni from diverse backgrounds, especially on the priority program implementation.
“Thank you, hopefully, it strengthens our collaboration in the future,” she said.
More than twenty alumni attended the gathering, initiated by UNAIR DPKKA and the Center for Communications and Public Information (PKIP). Apart from the management of DPKKA and Head of PKIP Martha Kurnia Kusumawardhani dr SpKFR(K), the gathering was also attended by the former chairman of General Elections Commission (KPU) Arief Budiman.
