UNAIR NEWS – PT Lentera Alam Nusantara joins the Certified Internship and Independent Study (MSIB) Batch 4 of the Ministry of Education and Culture as one of the company partners. UNAIR alumni founded the swallow nest cultivation startup. One of them is Muhammad Fairuzzudin Zuhair, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Fairuz stated that the company’s participation in the Independent Campus program began with its need to expand its team. Just then, they launched the Lentera Internship Development Program (LIDP), which provides internship opportunities for students to take part in the business.
“In 2023, our focus is to launch new products in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, the Nest One swallow bird’s nest drink and the Edu-Agri application. Therefore, we need a team to help us prepare this project,” said Fairuz to UNAIR NEWS on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

Get to know Lentera Internship Development Program
The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) alumnus stated that LIDP accepted 63 students from 17 universities in Indonesia. They are having the offline internship program from February 20 to June 30, 2023.
The interns occupy 13 positions, divided into three locations; headquarters at Jalan Gubeng Kertajaya 5D Number 20, the UNAIR Business Incubator Building, and the Matra Co-Working Space.
Fairuz added that LIDP adopts a learning approach based on the participant’s interests, talents, and abilities. Besides, they will be guided by company mentors during the internship period.
“The learning system entails mentoring according to each position and job description. The entire learning process involves practical stages, evaluations, and continuous improvement,” Fairuz said.
Challenges and expectations
As it is the first time, Fairuz said that the company faces challenges in conversing the Semester Credit Units (SKS) and knowledge transfer. “Typically, the internship students are in their fourth to sixth semesters. We need to slightly adjust the pace and provide special attention to guide them,” he explained.
He hoped that the internship program at LIDP will provide applicative knowledge for students. Considering the current trend where internship serves as a valuable preparation for students as they enter the professional world.
“Apart from having a strong professional mindset, we also emphasize the importance of an entrepreneurial spirit. As a result, the interns at our company, InsyaAllah, will be ready to embark on their ventures in the future,” Fairuz said.
