UNAIR NEWS – Digital transformation has been greatly applied in the industrial era 4.0. The application of digital technology has penetrated various areas of life, including health. It makes accessing and obtaining a good health service system easier for the community.

As a response to this issue, Bio Farma x MIT Hacking Medicine goes to Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) campus on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. A guest lecture was held in the ASEEC Tower building. The event entitled “Improving Healthcare Access through Digital Health aims to introduce students to digital transformation in the world of health.

Health Digital Transformation

“Bio Farma’s framework is to become a holding chain in the pharmaceutical sector, but we are also expanding it in the health sector, which we hope will positively impact Indonesia. This is, of course, a big vision,” Dhuha Abdul ST emphasized in the opening of the guest lecture.

The first speaker, the Assistant Vice President of Manufacturing Industry 4.0, explained further about Indonesia’s healthcare ecosystem, which must be integrated online and offline. To make this happen, he continued, there must be support from the various fundamental premises, the right manufacturing values, and the implementation of appropriate digital transformation.

Apt Fahmi Azhari SFarm continued the second session. He spoke about the implementation of digital transformation. He said a good health service system must include the integration and development of data systems, service application systems, and the development of health technology ecosystems.

“However, the challenge we have to face for the Indonesian health system is millions of data and hundreds of applications that are not yet based on data efficiency,” said the Product & Business Portfolio Manager.

Iqbal Tawakkal SKom, a Digital & IT Policy & Audit Manager, delivered the third session. He explained about manufacturing digitalization or efforts to use digital technology in the manufacturing operations of health companies. According to him, digitalization must include the development of a healthcare service system that is promotive, preventive, and curative in all aspects.
