Academic reputation

This year’s ASIIN review focuses on programs within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) and the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPK). Both faculties have established strong academic reputations nationally and internationally. FKH currently ranks among the global top 100 and holds the number-one position in Indonesia.

“This faculty produces graduates prepared to become professional veterinarians, researchers, consultants, and entrepreneurs in the veterinary and livestock industries. With a strong academic foundation and hands-on experience, our graduates are equipped to make meaningful contributions to animal health and welfare,” he noted.

Prof. Madyan also highlighted FPK’s expanding international reach through partnerships with leading universities from Malaysia to Turkey. “With both national and international accreditation, our programs emphasize fish health, nutrition, and sustainable aquatic environments. Our graduates are prepared to become leaders, managers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and educators who play a pivotal role in the global fisheries and aquaculture sectors,” he added.

World-class standards

The growing number of international accreditations reflects UNAIR’s dedication to delivering world-class education. “As of October 2025, forty-five academic programs have earned international accreditation. These credentials not only ensure that UNAIR’s academic standards align with global benchmarks, but also enhance international recognition of our graduates,” he said.

He expressed hope that UNAIR’s productive collaboration with ASIIN will generate long-term, sustainable improvements in the university’s academic development. “I want to emphasize that the ASIIN accreditation process is a vital component of our ongoing efforts to ensure educational quality, to move forward, and to improve,” he concluded.
