UNAIR NEWS – Happiness radiated from the faces of the UNAIR graduates. In June 2022, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held a graduation ceremony in the second period of 2022. It was held at the Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) Building, MERR Campus (C), UNAIR, on Saturday, June 25, 2022.
On that occasion, UNAIR Rector, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih SE MT Ak, graduated 1034 students consisting of 38 diploma, 722 undergraduate, 210 master, and 64 doctoral students. There were also nine foreign graduates from Timor Leste, Malaysia, Madagascar, Tanzania, South Korea, and Pakistan.
“I’d like to congratulate the graduates, after almost two years, graduation conducted online and hybrid, today, it’s a great gift, you can have graduation offline,” said UNAIR Rector.
In addition, the Rector also expressed his deep gratitude to parents who have contributed to advancing and participating in improving the quality of human resources by providing the best education for their children. For him, education is a factor in improving the quality of life, both personal and family.
Prof. Nasih also said that graduation is not the end of a struggle. According to him, hard work and persistence must continue in facing life after graduation. He added that whatever decisions and journeys they take, obstacles will be faced by those who choose to work and those who choose to continue their education.
“We always say that in the future, you will always be required never to stop learning, studying, and learning. I believe you are the best students who deserve to graduate and get the best position, “he continued.
In the end, the Rector advised the students not to be complacent with what had been achieved. The message is that the thirst for knowledge and new things is the key to a person’s development. Always learning from the cradle to the grave is God’s mandate. Thus, we will get new experiences and various innovations from unexpected places.
Furthermore, he hoped alumni would maintain the good name of the alma mater that has been nurtured for a long time. He expected the graduates to uphold the campus motto, Excellence With Morality, and instill the ethics of HEBAT: Humble, Excellent, Brave, Agile, Transcendent.
“Let us fight to show that UNAIR deserves to be in the World’s Top #369 position,” he concluded. (*)
