UNAIR holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for Health Science Building project

UNAIR NEWSUniversitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has officially commenced construction on its new Health Science Building at Campus A with a ceremonial groundbreaking event. The ceremony took place at Dharmahusada-A Campus on Tuesday (March 11, 2025).

Attending the event were UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, MT, Ak, CA; Dean of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Prof. Dr. Budi Santoso, dr., SpOG, SubspFER; Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences (FIKKIA) Prof. Dr. Soetojo, dr., SpU(K); Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Dental Medicine (FKG) Dr. Andra Rizqiawan, drg., PhD, SpBMM(K); and UNAIR’s Director of Infrastructure and Facilities, Nugroho Sasikirono, SE, MM.

Advancing healthcare and human well-being

In his opening remarks, Prof. Nasih highlighted that the construction of the Health Science Building is part of UNAIR’s broader commitment to advancing healthcare and improving lives.

“Anyone who helps preserve a single life contributes to the well-being of all humanity. I see this project as an embodiment of that principle. Through this initiative, UNAIR is playing a role in protecting and enhancing human life. If we can heal even one person, it is as if we are healing many,” said the distinguished professor from UNAIR’s Faculty of Economics and Business.

Closing his speech, Prof. Nasih expressed his hopes that the project would be met with success and divine blessings. “May God Almighty bless our efforts, our dedication, and all the hard work that goes into this endeavor,” he stated.
