UNAIR Lecturer wins Diktiristek’s 2022 Human Resource Award

UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga Faculty of Dental Medicine (FKG) lecturer, Dr Alexander Patera Nugraha drg MImun got an award at the 2022 Diktiristek Awards. He successfully brought home the Human Resource Award in the Master’s to Doctoral Candidates for Excellent Graduates (PMDSU) category as the Outstanding PMSDU Alumni.

The UNAIR alumnus received the award at the Sultan Hotels Jakarta on Thursday, December 15, 2022.

PMDSU is a prominent scholarship program to produce quality doctoral candidates. From all PMDSU alumni with outstanding track records, Sandro was chosen as the eligible alumnus to receive the award.

“I’m beyond happy and proud to bring my beloved alma mater, UNAIR, to national scale among the ministries,” he said.

Achievement and publication

As a PMDSU student, Sandro has made 23 national and global achievements in the field of medicine. He has also conducted collaborative research at Tohoku University, Japan.

Sandro pursued the PMDSU program and finished his master’s and doctoral programs in 2017 to 2021. He managed to graduate faster and was named as the best graduate thrice. He also holds the record for the PMDSU student with the highest number of publications by 45 works.

Active in research

So far, the Orthodontics department lecturer regularly writes journals and conducts research. He has published 110 Scopus-indexed documents with H-Index 21. The achievement brought Sandro to the Top 5 contributor with the highest Scopus-indexed journals at the university level and contributor with the highest H-index at UNAIR. Sandro and his fellow contributors supported the institution to be university with most scientific publications for 2020-2022, which UNAIR had won at the same event.

He advised students not to be afraid to develop their knowledge. “The Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy supports students to develop themselves. Enroll yourself in PMDSU program with its excellent offers, it supports students to be young doctors,” he said.
