UNAIR NEWSUniversities play a crucial role as platforms for students to cultivate their skills and aspirations. One common dream is to study abroad, and there are diverse pathways available to fulfill this aspiration.

Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE), an integral part of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), serves as a facilitator, turning students’ dreams of studying abroad into reality. Through its range of programs, AGE provides students with opportunities to actualize their aspirations of studying overseas. What programs does AGE offer to make these dreams come true?

Prof. Iman Harymawan SE MBA PhD, the Director of AGE, highlights the abundant opportunities available to UNAIR students for international student exchange programs. “We have established partnerships for student exchanges across various continents every semester,” he explained. Students have the chance to explore regions such as Asia, Australia, and Europe.

Moreover, UNAIR actively welcomes foreign students to its campus. “We regularly host foreign students here, allowing UNAIR students to interact with them,” he added. The presence of these international students offers a valuable opportunity for improving language skills and participating in cultural exchanges.

Additionally, the government’s initiative known as the Indonesian International Student Mobility Award (IISMA) is widely embraced. UNAIR provides extensive support to its students participating in this program. Each period, UNAIR, through AGE, introduces the IISMA Bootcamp program. “Students interested in IISMA will be guided by a dedicated team. We assist them from registration to the completion of IISMA, ensuring they don’t have to do it alone,” said Prof. Iman.

Furthermore, UNAIR students can pursue double degrees. “They can earn a degree from UNAIR while simultaneously obtaining a degree from another university,” he explained. Partner universities offering double degree programs are situated in various countries, including Australia, Malaysia, Taiwan, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. These programs span faculties such as Medicine, Psychology, Dental Medicine, Law, Humanities, Public Health, Postgraduate School, Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Vocational Studies, and Economics and Business.

Students can rest assured about financial concerns as UNAIR offers financial assistance that is accessible to them. “We provide support in the form of funding available in each faculty. Financial aid is available for both short and long-term activities,” assured Prof. Iman.
