UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has succeeded in being ranked #201-300 globally in the ranking of THE Impact 2022 with a total score of 81 out of 100. This achievement is a significant improvement compared to last year’s, which was only ranked #401-600 globally. Nationally, UNAIR is ranked 5th in Indonesia.

The series of THE Innovation & Impact Summit events were held at Stockholm City Hall, Sweden, some time ago. Dr. Muhammad Miftahussurur MKes SpPD-KGEH PhD as Vice Rector for Internationalization, Digitalization, and Information and Bayu Arie Fianto SE MBA PhD as Head of SDGs Center attended the event as representatives from UNAIR. A total of 1524 universities worldwide participated in the ranking of THE Impact 2022.

“The improvement of UNAIR’s ranking to the Top 5 in Indonesia is extraordinary, and we’re very proud, especially for UNAIR,” said Savira Rizma Yunita as UNAIR SDGs Center Staff Development Coordinator.

The Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings is a world ranking that assesses the successful implementation of universities on UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This ranking assessment is based on the university’s fields of research, teaching, service, and management.

Out of the 17 SDGs, UNAIR managed to excel at 4 SDGs, SDG 1: No Poverty with a score of 76.7 and ranked #58 in the world, SDG 3: Good health and Well-Being with a score of 74.5 and ranked #101-200 in the world, SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation with a score of 72.9 and ranked #70 in the world, and SDG 17: Partnerships for The Goals with a score of 85.5 and ranked #101-200 in the world.

“Hopefully, in the future, UNAIR can contribute more to the academic community and society so that it can achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB) or SDGs 2030,” added Savira. (*)
