UNAIR releases 300 inbound program students from various regions

UNAIR NEWSUniversitas Airlangga has officially released 300 inbound students of Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka [Independent Student Exchange] program of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of Even Semester 2022/2023. Director of Educational Affairs Prof Dr. Sukardiman MSi Apt, Modul Nusantara Coordinator Syahrur Marta Dwi Susilo SS MA Ph.D., fellow Modul Nusantara lecturers, and the PMM students attended the event on December 29, 2022, at the Garuda Mukti Hall, UNAIR Management Building, MERR (C) Campus.

The event started with students’ performances, including dancing, singing, and performing theater arts. The video of PMM students during one-semester learning was also displayed.

PMM student representative, Ahmad Farhany, expressed his gratitude to UNAIR. “Living up to its abbreviation, HEBAT, UNAIR has been really great in hosting us for one semester equally,” he said.

In line with the Universitas Lambung Mangkurat student’s statement, Modul Nusantara Coordinator Syahrur was proud to be a part of the PMM program.

“This year, Modul Nusantara explores the Culture of Promoting Tourism which ran by SIKIA Banyuwangi. This module wouldn’t have run smoothly without the lecturers’ contributions, therefore, I’d like to thank you,” he said.

The event was also filled with prize distribution according to student nominations set by the PMM committee. The nominations include the most criticizing student, the friendliest student, and many more.

Prof Dr. Sukardiman delivered his speech at the end of the event. “Today marks UNAIR’s new achievement. It’s also a challenge to host larger students for the next PMM program,” said the professor of the Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR.

He kindly welcomed PMM students interested in pursuing a Master’s program at UNAIR. “I’ll blindfold my eyes and approve,” he said playfully.

The event was closed by PMM students giving souvenirs to UNAIR, symbolically represented by Farhany and Prof. Sukadirman, respectively.
