UNAIR researcher appointed to editorial board of Frontiers in Virology

UNAIR NEWSUniversitas Airlangga (UNAIR) researcher, Dr. Arif Nur Muhammad Ansori, S.Si., M.Si., a distinguished researcher from UNAIR’s Postgraduate School, has been appointed to the Editorial Board of Frontiers in Virology. He expressed his pride and gratitude upon receiving the announcement in January 2025.

Frontiers in Virology is a scientific journal specializing in virology research. Ansori highlighted that the journal has an impact factor of 2.0. “Additionally, Frontiers in Virology is indexed in the Web of Science – Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) and Scopus,” he explained.

Ansori emphasized that his primary motivation for joining Frontiers in Virology as an Editorial Board Member was to broaden his experience while making meaningful contributions to virology research. “My main motivation is to expand my expertise and contribute to virology research, particularly in antiviral studies and vaccine development,” he stated.

He further explained that being part of the editorial team allows him to support the advancement of scientific knowledge by identifying and promoting groundbreaking research in antiviral treatment and vaccine development. “The most rewarding aspect is the opportunity to help advance science by recognizing and promoting innovative research that addresses global health challenges,” he emphasized.

As an Editorial Board Member, Ansori and his team oversee and guide research under the theme ‘Bridging Gaps in Antiviral Therapy: Innovative Approaches in Drug Discovery and Vaccine Development’. Their role is to ensure that published research is of high quality, innovative, and aligned with current scientific developments. “Our responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating submitted manuscripts to uphold high research standards,” he explained.

Additionally, Ansori underscored that his role involves ensuring that published research has a significant impact on the field of virology. He noted that serving on the Editorial Board provides valuable opportunities to collaborate with leading scientists worldwide. “Being part of the editorial board of Frontiers in Virology also opens doors for collaboration with top researchers from around the world,” he added.
