UNAIR NEWS – Antik Widi, a student from the Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline (FTMM), just made a wonderful achievement. She won second place in the International Karate Championship held by Universitas Negeri Surabaya on December 25, 2023. She outperformed 4,800 other participants in the competition.

Antik claimed that winning the international competition was no easy feat. She had to effectively juggle her training alongside her internship.

“The schedule became the primary challenge for me. The contest took place amidst my packed schedule of classes and internship. However, these challenges didn’t stop me because I had a strong dedication from the beginning,” the president of the Karate-do student club said.

The challenges pushed her to do more. She made use of her time for regular training at the Student Center. She believed that time management was the key to success in any competition.

“I believe that hard work will earn positive results. Alhamdulillah, the struggle brought me to be the second winner in this competition,” she said.

That achievement was not solely the result of Antik’s hard work. She thanked her parents for their immense support in achieving her accomplishments.

“My parents play a significant role. I am grateful for my parents’ support,” she said.
