UNAIR NEWS – As one of the leading state universities, Universitas Airlangga, held UNAIR Talks to accommodate prospective students in learning the admission requirement to get into UNAIR on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih SE MT Ak CA stated that the student quota consisted of 20 percent selected participants from national selection based on achievement (SNBP), 30 percent from national selection based on test (SNBT), and 50 percent selected participants from independent admission. All programs at UNAIR will open the registrations through the national selection of new student admission (SNPMB).

SNBP requirement

In the SNBP, the calculations are based on the standards between students within the school. Therefore, the school index will also be taken into account. The prospective students will have to meet all the administrative requirements in the School and Student Database (PDSS) with probable achievements during the SNBP registration on February 14 to 28, 2023.

The main component will be calculated from the average report card scores for all subjects and the scores of the two study program-supporting subjects. “Choosing the program which aligns with the subjects will be a crucial moment,” Prof. Nasih said.

SNBT requirement

This year, the SNBT will use the Scholastic Potential Test (TPS) with more competition, as those do not focus on certain fields. However, the additional score policy according to the linearity of the chosen program with the study field will also be implemented in SNBP and SNBT.

The independent admission will use the academic test using the TPS score during SNBT.

Apart from the admission tracks above, UNAIR offers a special quota for outstanding students through the golden ticket. To gain the ticket, students must meet the requirements, have outstanding achievements, and choose the relevant program.
