UNAIR NEWS – After thousands of new prospective students wanted to enroll at UNAIR through the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) and National Selection Based on Test (SNBT), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) will also open independent admission. In 2024, UNAIR is providing four independent admission pathways: Mandiri Prestasi, Mandiri UTBK Plus, Mandiri Ujian Tulis, and Mandiri Kemitraan Ujian Tulis. Participants may register for more than one independent selection pathways.
Mandiri Prestasi (Independent Pathway – Achievements)
For prospective new students who did not pass the SNBP UNAIR, this pathway could be an interesting option. This Mandiri Prestasi selection assesses students based on their report card grades and academic/non-academic achievements. The specific requirements include:
- 12th-grade students graduating in 2024
- Eligible students registered for SNBP 2024
- Have a SNBP 2024 card with a study program choice at Universitas Airlangga.

Mandiri UTBK Plus (Independent Pathway – UTBK Plus)
The Mandiri UTBK Plus selection pathway uses the UTBK-SNBT 2024 scores and an Academic Ability Test (TKA) according to the chosen study program. The UTBK scores used is from the 2024 UTBK. The written exam also uses a Computer Based Test (CBT) held at the UNAIR Surabaya Campus.

The third pathway is the Mandiri Ujian Tulis (Written Test) selection held by UNAIR. The selection includes the Academic Potential Test (TPA) and Academic Ability Test (TKA) according to the chosen study program. The written exam uses CBT held at the UNAIR Surabaya Campus. Mandiri Kemitraan Ujian Tulis (Independent Pathway – Partnership Written Test)
The Mandiri Kemitraan Ujian Tulis test materials consist of an Academic Potential Test (TPA) and an Academic Ability Test (TKA) according to the chosen study program. The exam also uses CBT held at the UNAIR Surabaya Campus. Prospective new students who wish to take part in this selection must meet specific requirements. For example, having a recommendation from a partner as shown in a statement letter. The partner can be a government agency or a company that has or will cooperate with UNAIR.
