UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga deserves to be proud of having a professor who is excellent at his field as well as pays attention to art and culture. The professor is Prof. Dr. Bambang Tjahjadi, SE., MBA., Ak., who is a Professor of Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR.
According to his education record, Bambang finished his bachelor study at Universitas Airlangga in 1979. After attaining his bachelor degree, he continued his master study at Master of Business Administration (MBA), Western Carolina University, North Carolina, United States in 1991.
“In the same year and at the same campus, I also finished a Project Management (MPM) Certification,” he mentioned.
Due to studying Accounting for his bachelor degree and Business for the master, he earned a deeper intellection of the science regarding Management Accounting. The lecturer who was born in Probolinggo then continued his doctoral study at Economics Science UNAIR in 2004.
“Not only formal education, I also took profession education. In 2009, I earned a Certified Professional Marketer (CPM)-Asia Pacific and in 2011 I continued to Certified Management Accountant (CMA),” explained the man who was born on 4 February 1957.
Now not only busy being a lecturer, Bambang is also often appointed a consultant and facilitator in various workshops about Strategic Management, Balanced Scorecard, Performance Management, Cost Management, Management Accounting, Certified Management Accounting (CMA-Australia).
“Management Accounting Science is an accounting field which informs the management to do control planning and to increase the company’s worth,” he explained.
Besides involved in management accounting science, Bambang is also enthusiastic about observing and promoting the culture of batik, puppets, and krises. He even often holds a number of events with art nuance in them.
