UNAIR NEWS – To optimize collaboration with universities in Indonesia, Postgraduate School Universitas Airlangga has forged another partnership with two universities. A Memorandum of Understanding signing session was held in Amerta Hall, Management Office Building UNAIR, Tuesday, August 1.

Two universities establishing partnership with Postgraduate School Universitas Airlangga were Muhammadiyah Economic Science Institute Tanjung Redeb, Berau, East Kalimantan and  Postgraduate Program Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, South Sulawesi.

Director of Postgraduate School Universitas Airlangga Prof. Dr. Sri Iswati, S.E., M.Si., Ak., said that all the institutions will collaborate on the education. According to Prof. Iswati, the students of those universities will study in Universitas Airlangga.

“They will study in Master and Doctoral programs of  Islamic Economics, Human Resources Development. They want to continue here. If MoU has been done, they can directly come here. One class filled with 20 people. We do not mix them with regular class,” said Iswati.

The professor of Accounting also said that this partnership can still be expanded such as by adding more programs in the partnership schemes, research collaborations and community service.

Guru Besar Akuntansi itu juga mengatakan bahwa tak menutup kemungkinan bidang kerjasama akan diperluas misalnya, penambahan prodi-prodi yang ikut dalam skema kerjasama, kolaborasi riset dan pengabdian masyarakat.
