Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023: UNAIR ranked second in Indonesia

UNAIR NEWS – Showing its excellence with achievements at the global level, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has been ranked #1201-1500 globally. The ranking was published by the Times Higher Education as World University Rankings (THE WUR) 2023. This achievement also makes UNAIR the second-best university in Indonesia.

Five areas are assessed through 13 indicators, including teaching, research, citations, and the proportion of international students (international outlook). This year, THE WUR includes more than 1700 universities from 104 regions in the world, as well as 18 universities in Indonesia in the prestigious ranking.

UNAIR’s highlighted achievements include the Sustainable Education for All program, Meaningful Research and Community Services, as well as UNAIR’s significant contribution to realizing the Red and White vaccine as an action to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. Besides that, there are also many remarkable achievements and innovations of UNAIR at the national and global levels that prove its worthiness for this prestigious reputation.

With this achievement, UNAIR has proven its continuous improvement and development from year to year. Having a long history as an educational institution since 1954, UNAIR has always prioritized the quality of learning services, facilities, and graduates.

UNAIR Rector Prof Dr Moh Nasih SE MT Ak, on Thursday, October 13, 2022, said that this proudest achievement could not be separated from the participation and support of various parties. “It is all thanks to the collaboration of all parties and elements in UNAIR academic community and partners, including the press. In the future, hopefully, this achievement can be improved even better,” he said. (*)
