UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Brawijaya (UB) Malang visited Universitas Airlangga on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Held in Kahuripan 302 Room, MERR Campus (C), The discussion covered various issues on university organizational structure, administration, protocols, and archive management.

From UB, the Head Secretary of Universitas Brawijaya and his staff were present. Meanwhile, from UNAIR, the Director of Information Systems and Digitalization (DSI) Yunus Abdul Halim SSi MKom, Head of the Planning and Development Board (BPP) Dian Ekowati SE MSi M.AppCom(OrgCh) PhD, and Head of Center for Communications and Public Information dr Martha Kurnia Kusumawardani SpKFR(K).

In the agenda, UB conducted a benchmarking by revitalizing its organizational structure as PTN BH (Legal Entity State University) and preparing a Strategic Plan (Renstra). Dr. Ir Setyono Yudo Tyasmoro MS, as the General Secretary of UB said that UB still has problems and needs a solution to become a PTN BH. According to him, there are many shortcomings in determining the technical structure of secretarial divisions in UB.

“Therefore, we conducted a comparative study with UNAIR,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ari Purwati SE, as the Head of Administration and Secretariat Division of UNAIR Secretariat said that UNAIR secretariat has several divisions: Legal Affairs, Administration and Secretariat, Archives, and Protocols.

“Each one has the task of running a different work program,” she said.

Furthermore, Head of BPP UNAIR Dian Ekowati SE MSi M.AppCom(OrgCh) PhD said that her unit carried out all university development and planning, including branding and upgrading of UNAIR.

“With the existing different divisions in UNAIR, it will be easier for us to process, improve branding and prepare accountability reports and year-end evaluation,” she said.

In response to various statements from UNAIR, Dr Ir Setyono Yudo stated that after conducting a comparative study in UNAIR, his party could imitate UNAIR. In addition, his party also wants to establish communication to help UB in preparing strategic plans and developing his institution.
