UNAIR NEWS – The stewardship of Indonesian Student Sports Board (BAPOMI) East Java, which is given to UNAIR for the period 2013-2018 will end on May 18, 2018.

BAPOMI meeting in UNAIR on Monday, January 22, decided there will be Provincial Meeting (Musprov) BAPOMI Jatim on February 27, 2018. It will be held at the State University of Malang (UM).

“We hope that at the time, each Musprov university envoys (PT) members of BAPOMI East Java should seek new leaders for BAPOMI East Java, so the organization continues to run smoothly,” said Prof. Djoko Santoso, dr., Ph.D., Sp.PD., K-GH., FINASIM, Head of BAPOMI Jatim for 2013-2018, in the meeting held at Main Assembly Room Universitas Airlangga Management Office Building.

Professor of Faculty of Medicine UNAIR, who is also Vice Rector I UNAIR, to the participants of the meeting consisting of delegations of Student Affairs of East Java Universities, also asked to criticize the management of BAPOMI East Java so any activity reports can be accounted for.

Secretary of BAPOMI East Java. Edy Mintarto, M.Kes., added that by implementing Musprov earlier, it is expected that BAPOMI Jatim will continue to be maintained and there is no management vacuum period. Referring to the previous reorganization, it took two months for the decree (SK) from Central BAPOMI.

“In Musprov BAPOMI later, choose a leader figure who really can protect and make BAPOMI East Java better. This is important, because BAPOMI Jatim is always a concern of national coaching, “said Dr. Edy Mintarto, lecturer at Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa).

UM Malang representative in the meeting also agreed that BAPOMI Musprov will be held on their campus. After this meeting, UM will soon conduct internal coordination to further coordinate with BAPOMI East Java.  If there is no other agenda then February 27, 2018 is agreed as time  for Musprov BAPOMI East Java. (*)
