UNAIR NEWS – The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbud-Ristek) has officially announced the result of 2024 Test-based National Selection (SNBT). The announcement was on Thursday (June 13, 2024) and can be accessed directly through the SNPB Kemendikbud website.

In this regard, Rector of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, held a press conference at MERR-C UNAIR Campus Management Office on Thursday (June 13, 2024). On that occasion, Prof. Nasih stated that UNAIR accepted 2,831 prospective students from the selection.

“Alhamdulillah, each year the number of participants passing through SNBT at UNAIR continues to increase. This year, out of 70,641 applicants, we accepted 4.01 percent at UNAIR,” explained Prof. Nasih.

Prof. Nasih also mentioned that UNAIR continues to support and provide educational assistance to new students through scholarships and the Smart Indonesia Program for College (KIP-K). This year, 528 new students are receiving KIP-K assistance.

“It means that 18.65 percent of the total new students we accepted received KIP-K assistance. It reflects UNAIR’s commitment to providing opportunities for all new students to receive the best education without worrying about costs,” he said.

Prof. Nasih added that UNAIR will consistently assist its economically challenged students through KIP-K. “For instance, four new students from the Faculty of Dental Medicine (FKG) received KIP-K assistance. Financial limitations are no longer a barrier for students to receive the best education,” he noted.

Prof. Nasih explained that the average scores of UNAIR’s prospective students range from 700.00 to 795.00. He emphasized that prospective students should pay attention to the minimum and maximum scores for their chosen programs to avoid errors in program selection.

Furthermore, he mentioned that in the Science and Technology cluster, the Medicine study program ranked highest with an average score of 792.35, followed by Dental Medicine, Information Systems, Pharmacy, and Data Science Technology.

“For the Statistics study program, the average score reached 704.47, followed by Accounting with a score of 703.82; Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering with a score of 698.33; Psychology with a score of 687.28; and Biomedical Engineering with a score of 685.86,” he added.

In the end, Prof. Nasih congratulated all the prospective students who were accepted into UNAIR. He urged them not to be complacent, to remain humble, and to prepare for the next selection process. “Congratulations to all of you. We hope you will progress well at UNAIR,” he emphasized.
