UNAIR NEWSUniversitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has achieved another outstanding milestone, now ranked as the second-best university in Indonesia according to the 2025 Quacquarelli Symonds Asian University Rankings (QS AUR). This announcement was made during the QS Higher Education Summit: Asia Pacific, held in Macau on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

In addition to its second-place national ranking, UNAIR now holds the 12th position in Southeast Asia and the 52nd position in Asia, achieving a score of 70.5. This is an improvement from last year when UNAIR ranked 15th in Southeast Asia and 67th in Asia based on the 2024 QS AUR.

UNAIR’s strong performance is a result of its achievements across several key indicators. In the categories of International Student and International Research Network, UNAIR ranked #1 nationally. Meanwhile, for Employer Reputation, UNAIR achieved the #2 in the national ranking.

The university’s excellence in these indicators is reflected in several programs. In the International Student category, UNAIR has consistently supported student exchange programs, both inbound and outbound. These initiatives include the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA), the Academic Mobility Exchange for Undergraduate and Master’s Students at Airlangga (AMERTA), and the Learning Indonesian Language at Universitas Airlangga (LINGUA).

For the International Research Network category, UNAIR has established a strong global presence through research collaborations with various partners across multiple countries. Regarding the Employer Reputation category, which assesses the standing of graduates in the workforce, UNAIR has demonstrated its commitment by producing graduates who have made significant contributions both within Indonesia and internationally.

These performance indicators are vital for universities, including UNAIR, as they reflect the quality and relevance of higher education.

UNAIR’s rise in both national and regional rankings is also a fitting tribute to its upcoming 70th anniversary, which will be celebrated on November 10. This accomplishment underscores UNAIR’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its standards, particularly in education and teaching.
