UNAIR NEWS – The recent surge in extreme weather conditions across various regions of Indonesia has led to an increase in incidents of falling trees. This incident not only poses a safety threat but also results in material losses due to the damage it causes.
The first step in mitigation to prevent fallen trees is conducting an inventory of trees in public spaces. This inventory aims to assess the condition of each tree, including its species, age, and overall health. Following this, strategic pruning is necessary to reduce overly dense branches and limbs, minimizing the risk of trees toppling over.
