UNAIR NEWS – In order to boost students’ job readiness in the digital era, Faculty of Vocational Studies (FV) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) partnered with PT NoLimit Indonesia and Perum LKBN ANTARA. This strategic synergy brought technology facility scholarships with a fantastic value of more than IDR 2 billion to support research and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based learning for the academic community.

The Dean of UNAIR Faculty of Vocational Studies, Prof Dian Yulie Reindrawati, explained that the connection between higher education institutions, the industrial world, and mass media is the key element in producing work-ready graduates. According to her, the innovations from 20 study programs in the Faculty of Vocational Studies require broad publication so that the impact of their scholarship can be felt directly to the public.

“We truly need a broad publication so that the innovations created by the Faculty of Vocational Studies are not stopping only in journal, but also impactful for the public,” she explained.

Furthermore, she emphasized that the research collaboration involving lecturers and students must continue to be encouraged so that the research outcomes can be developed into real solutions for the industrial needs. “We want a tangible connection between us, the industry, and the media to help publicize innovations while strengthening the image of graduates so they are ready to be accepted in the workforce,” Prof Reindrawati continued.

The strengthening of graduate quality received a warm welcome from Perum LKBN ANTARA and PT NoLimit Indonesia. The President Director of Perum LKBN ANTARA, Benny Siga Butarbutar, emphasized that vocational institutions play a vital role because they are based on practical actions and work readiness.

“ANTARA News agency needs vocational institutions because it has knowledge and practical actions to produce work-ready graduates. It is important for vocational innovation to be published properly to enhance the institution’s competitiveness,” said Butarbutar.

In line with this, the CEO of PT NoLimit Indonesia, Aqsath Rasyid Naradhipa, distributed scholarship assistance in the form of 100 free media monitoring dashboard licenses based on big data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to be accessed by students.

“We are providing this technological scholarship worth more than 2 billion rupiah for free so that students can practice big data and AI directly. Access to real tools is essential so that UNAIR FV graduates are ready to compete in the workforce,” Naradhipa emphasized.
